IAFSW Association held a collaboration meeting with Shounan Social Service Cooperative and visited elderly care facilities SHOHOEN, Shonan Kkusunoki, Senju kai KIKUNOSATO, and Sanjyo no Kai Happiness Chigasaki in Japan.
On 4th October 2024, led by Ms. Suwannee Kumman, President of the Association, Ms. Duangporn Hengboonyapan, Vice President of the Association, Ms. Jintana Paraksamanee, Vice President of the Association, and Ms. Weeranuch Kamolrungworakul, Executive Board Member, the IAFSW Association participated in a collaboration meeting with Mr. Yamamoto Takashi, Chief Director of Shounan Social Service Cooperative and Facility Directory of Social Welfare Corporation Shohoen. Mr.Yamamoto is dedicated to creating an open environment for consultations as a community member, guided by the motto “Gentle smile, gentle words, gentle actions.” He aims to establish a relaxed and warm space for service users, staff, and the local community, valuing mutual respect and teamwork towards a common direction. This environment encourages everyone to commit fully to their work. Prioritizing the health of employees, they are taught concepts of good citizenship and organizational work, including basic societal knowledge such as harassment prevention. Moreover, training is provided to develop human resources as future leaders, and an on-site childcare center has been opened.
The collaboration meeting with Japanese employers marks a significant step in opening opportunities for our students to enter the international labor market. We discussed internships and employment in leading Japanese companies to prepare students with skills that meet employers’ demands and ready them for future work.
