On October 5, 2024, the IAFSW Association, led by Ms. Suwannee Kumman, President of the Association, Professor Duangporn Hengboonyapan, Vice President of the Association, Ms. Jintana Paraksamanee, Vice President of the Association, and Ms. Weeranuch Kamolrungworakul, Executive Board Member, visited Toranomon Hills in Japan. They met with Mr. Hiroyasu Mikuriya, Executive Managing Officer of Mori Building Co., Ltd. Mr. Mikuriya guided the association’s delegation through Azabudai Hills and Toranomon Hills, major development projects in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. These multistory buildings combine office spaces, hotels, shops, and residential areas, with the main tower standing 52 stories tall, becoming a significant landmark of Tokyo.
Azabudai Hills and Toranomon Hills feature modern office spaces, fivestar hotels (such as Janu Tokyo by Aman Group), leisure areas, as well as various shops and restaurants. Additionally, there are rooftop parks offering beautiful views of Tokyo. The purpose of this visit was to explore business and innovation developments, the use of modern technology, urban planning, and building designs that create peoplefriendly environments. Azabudai Hills and Toranomon Hills emphasize sustainable development, including the use of clean energy and environmental conservation.
This visit was aimed at exchanging ideas and experiences with leading and renowned organizations in Japan, including establishing employment networks. It marked a significant step in opening opportunities for our students to enter the international labor market. We discussed internships and employment with leading Japanese companies to equip students with skills that meet employers’ demands and ensure they are ready for future employment.
