The IAFSW Association held a collaboration meeting with Shounan Social Service Cooperative and visited elderly care facilities SHOHOEN Shonan Kusunoki, Senju kai KIKUNOSATO, and Sanjyo no Kai Happiness Chigasaki in Japan.

On 4th October 2024, led by Ms. Suwannee Kumman, President of the Association, Ms. Duangporn Hengboonyapan, Vice President of the Association, Ms. Jintana Paraksamanee, Vice President of the Association, and Ms. Weeranuch Kamolrungworakul, Executive Board Member, the IAFSW Association participated in a collaboration meeting with Mr. Shiino Chiaki, President of the Special Nursing Home for the Elderly Kikunosato. The Special Nursing Home for the Elderly Kikunosato was established during a period of rapid aging in Japan, where the number of elderly households living alone increased and families with fewer children became more common, resulting in more diverse lifestyles. The Special Nursing Home for the Elderly Kikunosato is dedicated to developing comprehensive elderly welfare services that fully meet the needs of its users and align with local community requirements.

The collaboration meeting with Japanese employers marks a significant step in opening opportunities for our students to enter the international labor market. We discussed internships and employment with leading Japanese companies to prepare students with skills that meet employers’ demands and ensure they are ready for future work.
