The Autonomous Drive system developed by JR Kyushu focuses on enhancing passenger safety, comfort, and travel efficiency and plays a crucial role in the advancement of Japanese transportation.
The highlight of the Autonomous Drive system includes the use of sensor technology and image processing systems to control the train’s movement without direct human intervention. This automation technology reduces the risk of accidents as the sensors can detect obstacles, track conditions, and route changes in real-time, allowing the train to adjust speed and stop precisely in emergency situations.
