Mahidol University and IASFW collaborate on the development of Future Forward Zero Protocol, a STEM-based initiative to enhance learning opportunities for Thai and international youth.

On May 18, 2023, Dr. Pornpun Waitayangkoon, President of the International Association for the Future STEM Workforce (IAFSW), along with the Executive Committee Board Members of the Association, engaged in discussions with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sura Pattanakiat, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, and Director of the Central and Western Regional Centre for Geo-Informatics and Space Technology, Mahidol University (GISTMU). They were joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charlie Nawanugraha, Director of the Center of Excellence for Soil Research in Asia (CESRA), Department of Land Development, and advisor to the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies at Mahidol University.
The purpose of these discussions is to develop and encourage members and schools within the network to devise concepts and teaching models for designing prototypes aimed at managing carbon-related issues and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The focus will be on achieving carbon neutrality, reducing GHG emissions, or creating training courses utilizing simple prototypes for carbon storage and GHG emission reduction. This effort aims to further contain and reduce GHG emissions.
