Working in the community sector involves knowing about and understanding a variety of cultures. This resource and Vedic maths 2 explore the ancient laws of Vedic mathematics which features in both Hindu and Islamic contemporary cultures. The set of activities requires students to work with the multiplication tables, to calculate digital roots and to observe and interpret patterns. This resource follows on from Vedic maths 1 and explores the ancient laws of Vedic mathematics which feature in both Hindu and Islamic contemporary cultures. This set of activities requires students to practice number operations, to search for pattern in number and to work with and deepen their arithmetic understanding. In Vedic multiplication, these understandings are developed into simple algebra.
