Optical Illusions

A set of optical illusion pictures is used to illustrate how the brain can be tricked by the things we see. By investigating and understanding these illusions we can work out how the brain functions (in a very simple way). Optical illusions vary in the number of "clues" we need to decipher them, for example length or size of object. Others depend on our interpretation of the illusion using our own cultural background to give us clues to help decipher them.
